New champion will be crowned
Since the current champion, GM Arjun Erigaisi is not playing in the 20th edition, a new champion is guaranteed to be crowned. In fact, the runner-ups - GM D Gukesh and GM Harsha Bharathakoti are also not playing which means there is bound to be a fresh top three finish in this edition.
