Yash Bharadia dominates 1st Dhundhadh Cup Rapid Rating Open 2024 with a 100% score

Rajasthan's very own CM Yash Bharadia won 1st Dhundhadh Cup Rapid Rating Open 2024 with a 100% score 9/9. The National Junior (Under-19) Open 2023 Bronze medalist finished a full point ahead of the rest. CM Soham Datar and Yashpal Arora scored 8/9 each. They secured second and third place respectively according to tie-breaks. The total prize fund of the tournament was ₹220000. The top three prizes were ₹20000, ₹15000 and ₹10000 along with a trophy each. The two-day rapid rating tournament was organized by Jaipur Chess Coaching on 27th and 28th January 2024 at Sangam Community Centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan. CM Yash Bharadia won eight games in-a-row and gained a full point lead heading into the final round. Six players - CM Soham Datar, Yashpal Arora, Ujjwal Deep, FM Nikhil Dixit, Milind Gawade and Nitul Khare were trailing by a full point at 7/8 each. Yash defeated Ujjwal to become the champion with a perfect score 9/9. Soham and Yashpal won against Milind and Nikhil respectively to finish at second and third place.

CM Yash Bharadia scored a perfect 9/9, finished a full point ahead of the rest and gained 62 Elo rating points

A total of 330 players took part from various states across the country. The two-day nine round Rapid Rating tournament was organized by Jaipur Chess Coaching at Sangam Community Centre in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 27th and 28th January 2024. The time control of the event was 25 minutes + 5 seconds increment.
